Description of Role

This opportunity will suit an Engineer who is interested in the deployment of reliable web applications as a Service. As a Software Developer, you will become a key part of a dynamic team delivering products to the highest levels of quality and efficiency, whilst also helping to develop core functionality of existing product

Key Deliverables

•Work with business and technical teams to develop technical requirements
•Develop new features in line with specifications
•Perform unit testing and support system testing
•Contribute effectively to software development process improvement initiatives

Skills & Knowledge Requirements

•Degree educated in a relevant Computer Science or Software Engineering discipline
•A demonstrable passion for software development using modern technologies, tools and frameworks
•Excellent knowledge of Web Development technologies and platforms. Strong knowledge of Node JS, Javascript, CSS, HTML, AJAX, knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as VueJS
•Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases (MySQL, Oracle, mongodb, Radius)
•Full software development life cycle understanding including design, development, test, build, documentation, packaging and support/maintenance.
•An understanding of Agile development principles and practices.

Desireable Qualities

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Organised, good attention to detail, and able to work both independently and with a team
•Familiarity with CFML (Cold fusion mark-up language)
•Knowledge of SaaS Microservice development preferred.
